A. K. from ex-pat, United States writes: It's funny how man doesn't learn from its mistakes. When the US became industrialized it polluted the crap out of its country. Now the same is happening to China. When gas was cheap, the excessive US consumer wanted to drive SUVs. We now see the same for China. You would think governments would have enough foresight to see these disasters before they happen. And having the Chinese driving gas-guzzling SUVs will only increase their demand for oil which will only lead to higher oil prices for everyone else.
